It is a commonly required service and pooled resource that is customer focused and provides access to organizations that would not be able to access a required service due to cost or to a limited capacity.

Categories

Service level

CATEGORY A
Unrestricted use

  • General consultations, on phone or short meetings of up to two hours
  • Advice on regulatory matters relating to HR
  • Discipline and termination
  • Standard letters for example recruitment, termination, warning, etc.

CATEGORY B
One free service a month. Additional charged at 50% of standard fee

  • Recruitment
  • Development of policy/procedure in a specific field, e.g. training, recruitment; grievance handling, etc. (One policy only)

CATEGORY C
One assignment per quarter

  • Performance management (systems development and implementation)
  • Training needs assessment and training planning
  • Career development planning
  • Policies and procedures development
  • Support with negotiation of CBA
  • Designing standard HR instruments including employment contracts

CATEGORY D
Consultancy basis. 25% discount offered to members

  • Organisation review/restructuring work
  • Job evaluation and grading
  • Salary surveys
  • Job description Development
